What’s in a name? This is a question that we all have to ask ourselves from time to time. The mother that you are about to meet hails from New Mexico.
Believe it or not, she recently revealed that her first name and last name are one and the same.
So how did this happen? Did she actively choose to make this choice or did life just happen to lead her down this path?
As it turns out, it is the latter. Bailey has always had the same first name but the man who ended up sweeping her off her feet? His last name is Bailey.
When it was time for the two to tie the knot, she chose to change her last name to match his. She is now known as Bailey Bailey. From the looks of it, she is very pleased with the decision that she made.
“It’s spelled exactly the same. You literally can’t make this up. My first name is Bailey. My husband’s last name is Bailey. And so, in 2020, when we got married, I became Bailey Bailey,” she shared in her recent TikTok video.
The video has already gotten over a million views. There were lots of funny responses to the clip as well. “Girl you did not have to do that,” said one viewer. “I simply would not have changed my last name lol,” another opined.
Hey, this is her choice and she is the only one who has to be happy with it. Would we have done this? Probably not, but you only live once and this woman wants to spend her days as a Bailey squared.

In a follow-up video, she expanded on her choice.
She said she always dreamed of changing her name and she also wanted to share a name with her husband. While some pointed out that he could’ve just as easily taken her last name, she wanted to do things the old fashioned way.
“Never would I have thought it would have been somebody with the last name Bailey. It just so happened to be spelled exactly the same, and so I took it. I thought, ‘Oh, you know what? This is cool. It’s the same name twice, but this is unique. You don’t hear people with double names often.’ It’s just ironic how it happened.”
