If there is one thing that we know about love, it’s the fact that it is timeless. That fact is clearly seen, thanks to an 82-year-old man living in Philadelphia.

His name is Morton Block, and a song was recently released that was written by him 64 years before. He had written that song, entitled “My Love,” in his head but on March 18, the jazz song became a reality.

The song was actually written for his wife and it has romantic overtones. After being put out in the wild, Morton posted it on TikTok and millions of people have viewed it.

Morton captured the essence of the video in his caption. He wrote: “Hard to put into words how incredible it is to drop my first single at 82 years old. Especially because I wrote this for my wife. This is 16-millimeter footage from our honeymoon in Miami, 1961.”

It’s amazing to see his wife in the video as the two of them were enjoying some time by the pool. Not only does she look good in her swimsuit, but she also jumps into the pool and has the biggest smile on her face.

Newsweek reported on the subject, saying that Morton was 19 years old in 1958 when he met Susan. She was 17 years old at the time. It was in Atlantic City and they went on a date but then he joined the Navy and was deployed to Europe.

In speaking with PEOPLE, Morton said: “I knew she was the one. But I wasn’t sure she felt the same way about me. I thought, ‘I’m going to write my feelings down and put them to music.'”

He felt so strongly about her that he wrote the song, including the melody and the lyrics in his head. It just came to him. He decided that when he saw her next, he would serenade her and it worked like a charm.

His wife even said that “He wooed me with music.”

Morton jumped from one job to another, taking up many different trades but eventually, he retired when he was 80 years old. One thing that he loved his entire life was music, and his grandsons even started their own record label.

It was that label that released the song after they heard their grandfather play it. The vocals were then provided by singer Benny Benack III and Morton is back to writing songs once again. It seems as if you’re never too old to be inspired.
