Flat Cake Top

If you’re in need of a flat cake top – or if you’re looking for an easy way to cut a cake in half – we’ve got the perfect trick for you! Take your cake out of the pan and let it cool. Then, place toothpicks around the outside of the cake, being careful to make sure they are all the same height. Then take a length of floss or thread and wrap it around the outside of the cake. The toothpicks will act as guides as you squeeze the thread around the cake, eventually creating a perfectly flat top!
