Undoubtedly, McDonald’s has some of the juiciest secrets in existence. Many of them are better left unsaid, especially if you enjoy eating the food and don’t want to be burdened with the truth.
Every once in a while, however, we have the opportunity to peek behind the scenes and we may learn something about McDonald’s that is shocking.
This could be as simple as knowing a McDonald’s hamburger will last indefinitely, or perhaps some of the behavior of those who work at the restaurant.
Recently, somebody has come forward on TikTok and supposedly understands why McDonald’s fries are so delicious.
Jordan Howlett, a 26-year-old social media user, claims it is the “natural beef flavor” listed as an ingredient on the McDonald’s website. He went on to say that McDonald’s cooks their fries with beef flavoring mixed with vegetable oil.
After posting the video on social media, more than 12 million people viewed it. He went on to say it was why the fries tasted so good but added it could be bad news for vegetarians.
In speaking with the New York Post, Howlett said he found it interesting when he learned about the beef flavoring. He said it may be of interest to those with dietary issues.
He also went on to say that he still enjoys McDonald’s French fries, regardless of whether they contain meat or not.
McDonald’s explains this on their website, saying that the cut potatoes are partially fried by suppliers. Those suppliers use an oil blend with beef flavoring.
