Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Thanks to social media, this woman made an amazing discovery that is sure to change lives. This secret car hack is about to become far less of a hidden tip now.

@jmac8781 is on TikTok and she also works as a teacher. As it turns out, the handles that are on her car’s ceiling are more functional than she could have ever realized.

Some may know about these spring-loaded handles and passengers can reach out and grab onto them if they need to. Evidently, they do not always need to be pulled. @sanne_vberkel is popularizing this hack, which is not very well known at the moment. Once the teacher saw it for herself, she knew that she had to try it out for herself.

The video where she discovered it initially is too funny. She saw the tip and immediately raced out of the condo to test it out. We even get to watch her burst out of the door, run into her elevator and make her way into the parking lot.

Videos like these never fail to make us laugh because we can appreciate the enthusiasm that these people show when they are looking to emulate something they saw online.

Once she made her way to the parking lot, she finally saw it for herself. The car handle was easily located and from there, a tiny flip was flipped down. The handle was then released and the flap holds it in place.

Apparently, the process was a bit more complicated for this woman. “Mine were hidden, and I had to use my keys to pop them out,” she explained in the comment section.

Of course, some of the other commentators had their own questions about the matter. Some wanted to know why these flaps do not come with instructions. That’s a fair critique that we can fully understand. As for us, we sort of already knew about this one but that is because we were not the calmest kids in the car. Many parents can relate.

If you loved this hack as much as we did, please be sure to share it with everyone that you know. It’s the sort of thing that most of us would have never figured out on our own but now? The process has been made much easier for all parties involved.
