We are at the beginning of September, which means that it is time for the flavors of fall. If you’re a coffee fan, you know that autumn is synonymous with pumpkin spice!

But in recent years, the pumpkin spice craze has taken hold of everything. But there are other autumn flavors that can be just as good, like apple. Apple cider, apple pie, caramel apples – there are so many great uses.

And now, Starbucks has decided to create a new taste of fall using apple. The famous coffee chain’s newest autumn drink is the apple crisp macchiato, which features apple and brown sugar brought together into one cup.

It is made of espresso, milk, and a caramelized-spiced-apple drizzle – which is essentially apple juice and apple puree, mixed in with some cinnamon and nutmeg. Like many drinks in Starbucks, the apple crisp macchiato is available to be made as either a hot drink or a cold one, depending on your preference.

The new drink was rolled out on the 24th of August, and so far, the opinions are wide and varied.

Even huge fans of the iconic PSL have said that the new apple drink is worth the hype and is better than the pumpkin spice latte.

Of course, there are others that think it’s absolute garbage or is overrated.

Where do you stand on the Apple Crisp Macchiato? Would you try it? Do you prefer it to Pumpkin Spice Lattes? Let us know!
