I’m not one for doing my nails very often. I tried acrylics once but found them to get in the way of everyday tasks like typing, so they were a “no” for me.

But sometimes, when I’ve got a big event coming up like a wedding or birthday party or something, then I’ll go get my nails done. I’m a fan of gel polish. I find it doesn’t chip the way regular polish does, where it’s almost gone by the time you make it home from the salon.

But for most of us who get our nails done, there really are only two options. Either you go to a salon to have them done, or you pamper yourself at home. Depending on budgets, skill levels, etc., most of us will pick one or the other.

However, there is now a third option getting thrown into the manicure mix – and it definitely makes you feel like we’re living in a futuristic sci-fi scenario only seen in the movies. There is now a fingernail painting robot!

While you might imagine a robotic human, it’s actually not that sophisticated-looking. Rather than looking like something from a cyberpunk setting, the robotic fingernail painting machine is in fact a box.

Its only function is to paint your nails with expert precision. While it might be new technology, the price tag isn’t crazy either. A manicure from the robot only costs $10, and the entire manicure takes less than 10 minutes to complete!

These manicure robots are called Clockwork, and they are currently being given the official test at six different Target locations. Target trips are pretty awesome already, but this is just more incentive to go. Now, you can pick up a Starbucks from your local Target, browse around all the aisles, then stop and get a quick manicure!

While they’re being tested, you can even get a manicure for less than $10 – you can book an appointment for only $8! Unfortunately for now, there are only six Target locations that have the Clockwork robots. You can click here to see if one is available near you. If one is nearby, you can book an appointment online for your in-store manicure.
