Corn on the cob is a summer staple. It’s at the heart of summer pool parties, picnics in the parks, and get-togethers. And while corn is pretty versatile, it still came as a surprise to hear of Pringles’ new chip flavor: Sweet Corn.
Corn is known to go well in chips. Tortilla chips, anyone? But, we never thought we’d see the day that corn chips met potato chips. Pringles Sweet Corn seamlessly blends the two chip types and allows us to enjoy corn on the cob in chip form. The flavor profile hints at cooked corn, sweet and salty fresh corn, and creamy butter.
Instagram user @i_need_a_snack_ shared a photo of these limited edition chips and made sure to include a useful review as well. “Now the initial smell test was great and SPOT ON. It was as if I had closed my eyes and hot steamy corn on the cob with a chunk of butter on top was right in front of me!” they wrote.
We are going to go ahead and declare that these chips are healthy. They taste like a veggie, they smell like a veggie, so this means that they are good for us, right? Please do not shatter this illusion for us. We’re all friends here.
