These rolls are a simplified version of popular Eastern European treats. The recipe centers around store-bought phyllo dough making the process super simple. Working with thawed dough, you’ll roll the stack of sheets tightly into a log shape. Slice rounds about 1.5 inches thick and place each one in the hole of a muffin tin. Drizzle melted butter over the top and then pop them in the oven until golden brown.

Ingredients
  • 1 roll phyllo dough, thawed
  • ¾ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and lightly a grease muffin pan.
  2. If dough is folded, unroll the stack of sheets then tightly roll into a log.
  3. Slice in 1.5 inch sections with a sharp knife.
  4. Place one round in each muffin hole and drizzle butter over the top of each one.
  5. Bake for 7-9 minutes or until crispy and starting to brown.
  6. Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with pistachios.
