Unless you have been living under a rock these days (and who could blame you, honestly?), you have probably heard someone talking about NFTs.
Comedian Julie Nolke, who is well known for her attempts to explain the not so distant future to the past version of herself, is back at it again. This time, she is here to solve the NFT mystery for us all.

We’re not going to lie to you, we have already had this concept explained to us but maybe we needed someone to explain it like we are five years old. For starters, NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token. When Julie tried to take a whack at it, she got stuck on fungible. It is easy to see why this has been a stumbling block for so many people.
“So, so in the 15th century BC, it was,…It’s an agricultural term. …When they were funging in the fields and what not. So, like, wheat, corn, rice, you know, it’s like comes to the… There’s a verb, to funge. And then, so ‘non-fungible’ is, is the opposite of that, so take everything I just said, and it’s none of that,” she said.

That’s not the only part that seemed to confuse her, either. She also had a heck of a time dealing with the concept of the blockchain.
“They do this ’cause it’s all…It’s part of the blockchain,” she said. The way that she said it is what was so funny to us, though. We suspect that she does not have the faintest idea of what she is talking about.

It’s like the old saying goes, fake it until you make it. There’s nothing wrong with not knowing about NFTs, unless you are one of the people who is pretending that you do. These are the folks that need to be made fun of a lot more, if you are asking us. In the meantime, we will be laughing at Julie’s video for a long time to come.
The NFT craze is certainly not going anywhere anytime soon. The folks who do not understand it soon will, if we had to guess. However, that does not mean that we can’t enjoy poking some fun at the expense of NFT owners. Who knows, you guys? They may even end up having the last laugh by the time everything is all said and done.
