Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

TikTok has so much to offer in terms of entertainment. It’s easy to get lost down a rabbit hole once you log onto the app. Personally, I love all the different recipes and cooking hacks that can be found on TikTok. And if you’re like me, then you’ll be thrilled to know that getting TikTok recipes might be even easier.

Yes, the recipes on TikTok are pretty cool to watch. But getting the specifics from the videos are a little bit more of a challenge. For the content creators bringing us these fine recipes, including specific measurements or instructions can be a painstakingly laborious task. Luckily for us and for them, that all might be about to change.

TikTok is in the process of testing a “recipe” button. This function would allow its users to add a direct link to recipes from Whisk – an app that allows you to save recipes as well as ingredient lists.

Here is the tweet:

The feature, which is on the TikTok app, looks like a button that is on top of the video and will say “see full recipe” right over the creator’s name. One of the first creators to use the feature was Joanne L. Molinaro who goes by @thekoreanvegan.

Apparently, it is pretty easy for creators to use as well. All creators need to do is use the “add link” function in order to insert the recipe’s info when uploading a recipe video. Pretty cool, right?

Sadly, if you want one right now, you need to be in the alpha testing group for TikTok. Until given the go-ahead, we won’t be seeing the function on TikTok videos just yet. But hopefully soon, it sounds so helpful!
