Check for the “Custom Roasted by Starbucks” stamp.
Some people love shopping at Costco and other people obsess over it. They just seem to have so much to offer, regardless of whether you are talking about filling your cart with large bags and boxes of food or grabbing a slice of pizza at the food court. Something that has come to light recently is that Costco sometimes offers more than what most people realize. They will sometimes have their Kirkland brand products made by outside companies, and it seems as if that includes coffee.
Moneywise is reporting that a number of Kirkland products are manufactured by big brands but sold under the Kirkland name. Costco isn’t the only store that does this, Trader Joe’s is also doing something similar. When you take a look at the packaging, you might even be surprised to see that it has the manufacturer listed on the label.
Kirkland brand coffee is a good example. Some of the coffee sold under the Kirkland name is actually made by Starbucks. It’s easy to tell because they have it listed on the label. The next time you pick up a 2 1/2 pound bag of Kirkland’s Signature House Blend Medium Roast, Espresso Blend Dark Roast, and Decaf House Blend Medium Roast, make sure that you check for the “Custom Roasted by Starbucks” stamp.
People seem to have a real love for Starbucks coffee and Kirkland coffee is also quite popular. Do you think maybe there could be a connection, considering that Starbucks is actually roasting some of their coffee? So, the next time you are craving a cup of Starbucks coffee, just check your Kirkland coffee for the stamp.SKM: below-content placeholder
