There are some people who like to step outside the lines and there are those that don’t. For the people who work for Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, stepping outside of the lines is a regular thing. After all, the ice cream company is based in Ohio and they have unusual flavors, including goat cheese with red cherries and pickled mango.

And now, they have a savory breakfast option turned sweet treat in Jeni’s Everything Bagel ice cream.

If you are wondering at this point what it might taste like, you don’t need to imagine too much. After all, it has all of the seasonings that you would find on top of your favorite everything bagel.

Included inside of each tub of ice cream are onion, garlic, poppy seeds, and sesame seeds. In addition, you will find buttery streusel pieces mixed into the sweet cream cheese ice cream that is at the heart of this unique flavor.

The company wrote a post about the ice cream, saying, “There are rare moments when we create a flavor so shockingly good the Jeni’s test kitchen looks like a soundless rave. We can’t help but dance. Shimmy. Feel the flavor in our bones. This is one of those ice creams. A soul-shaking, dancing-with-no-music kind of delicious. Buttery streusel laden with sesame, poppy seeds—and yes, onions and garlic—schmeared throughout subtly sweet cream cheese ice cream.”

Jeni’s new flavor of ice cream is a far cry from some of the cheaper experiments into breakfast ice cream. For example, would you try lox ice cream that had real smoked salmon and cream cheese? It was offered by the Max and Mina’s Ice Cream company out of Queen’s New York. Not sure if I’ll be standing in line for that flavor.

If you would like to try Everything Bagel ice cream for yourself, it is available to order by the pint online and in select shops. It will be gone before you know it so make sure you give it a try today.
