Jam Jar Vinegarette Hori-2

Should you put that almost-gone jam jar back in the fridge or just cut your losses? It can be a hard call to make. I’m known to save food items to the last little bit and get scolded for it pretty regularly. But you know what? I typically have a plan for them! In this case, a Jam Jar Vinaigrette.

Jam Jar Vinegarette Vert-7

This recipe is perfect for whipping up a quick, fruity salad dressing and won’t even dirty a dish. You can add all the ingredients to your nearly empty jar of jam and give it all a good shake. I’ve gone with a balsamic vinaigrette here, but there’s plenty of room to get creative. Other vinegars like apple cider, white wine, or champagne would also make great choices.

Jam Jar Vinegarette Vert-3

A fruity dressing like this pairs beautifully with a spinach salad, especially one loaded up with fresh fruit. It can be made up ahead of time, just make sure to give it a good shake before dressing your salad. If you’re a believer in “waste not, want not” then give this easy recipe a try!
