Friends fans have any number of classic moments to remember. Whether you are a fan of the “PIVOT!” scene or maybe you’re the type to break out “could I BE wearing any more clothes?”, Friends fans are brimming with inside jokes.

For those who are unfamiliar with the episode, Rachel attempts to create a delicious trifle to serve after Thanksgiving dinner. Unfortunately, two of the pages in her cookbook end up getting stuck together. This causes her to create some unholy hybrid of trifle and shepherd’s pie. If you have never seen the clip for yourself, it is well worth your time. Joey’s reaction is the best part of all.

We have often found ourselves wondering if the trifle pie would be any good. In order to find out if it “tastes like feet” or if it’s truly as delicious as Joey claimed, we recreated the recipe. In the words of Joey: “What’s not to like? Custard? Good. Jam? Good. Meat? Gooood.” After all, it’s not like we have the chance to recreate a dish from one of our favorite shows every day.

You’re probably wondering if birds swooped down from the sky to steal our dessert or if we had to go to the bathroom to watch ourselves eat. We are sorry to report that we are going to have to side with Monica, Phoebe, and Chandler. The hybrid dessert DOES taste like feet. Joey seems happy with it but let’s be honest….that man will eat anything.

At least Jennifer Aniston still has her flawless hair to fall back on! Cooking fails like these only serve to make her more relatable.

We have all had a dish fall apart on us at the worst possible moment. No one is perfect when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. If you’d like to add this to your roster of imperfect Thanksgiving dishes, check out the video tutorial on how to make it for yourself:
