Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Do not judge us on this one but we absolutely love to watch videos of food being made. There is something that is so therapeutic about it.

Luckily, there are great series dedicated to this very thing. Have you ever watched the Discovery Science Channel series “How It’s Made”? If so, you know exactly what we are talking about right now. Anyone who loves chocolate sandwich cookies is sure to appreciate this one.

While most packaged foods have a more complicated process than most, machines are able to handle the vast majority of it. That’s why this video is so incredible to see. We have never been able to check out the machines in action like this.

Once the cookies have been baked, the machines take over. Let us tell you, it is a sight to behold. We could not stop watching this video, no matter how hard we tried.

As soon as the baking process is over, the cookies are separated between the tops and bottoms. Even the creamy filling is applied with the use of machines, which is something that we never expected.

The filling is rolled out onto the bottom cookie and then the machine puts the top one on. From there, the cookies are sent onto a plastic tray where the packaging is put on.

In this particular instance, you are actually watching Original Newman’s O’s get made. It’s a sight for sore eyes and we cannot wait to share it with you.

“Ever wondered how sandwich cookies are made? Get the full history and ‘making of’ right here!” reads the description and that really says it all.
