Optical illusions are a great way to test your mental mettle but they can definitely mess with us. No matter how hard we try, it can be hard to avoid the issues that come up when we are being messed with.
The optical illusion that you are about to see is a perfect example of this. We are struggling to fully comprehend what we have witnessed here.
My Sweet Adeline is the one who is responsible for this confusing illusion and we are awed by what she has come up with here.
The idea that she devised has tricked a bunch of people into thinking that she has a hole in her hand. If you are anything like us, you could stop not laughing once you had the chance to see this one for yourself.
Once you take a closer look at the video, it becomes more obvious. She created this “hole” herself and now she is using it as a fun way to taunt the audience. Rice, sushi, sunflower seeds, and raw beef are all stuck in the hole and it is easy to see why people were freaking the heck out over this one.
One of the comments summed it up perfectly: “What the h*ll did I just watch?” We were very confused at first but eventually, we put it all together.
Her hand is resting on a patterned background, which makes it easier to see what she was driving at here. The pattern is everything, as it allows her to blend into her surroundings even more easily.
The trick reveals itself eventually. All that she has done here is create a very simple drawing. The drawing on her hand is supposed to match the background and that is how she is wreaking havoc on us all. Once the drawing has been placed on her hand, she places it very strategically. This is how it looks as if the hand has an actual hole in it.
It is a pretty clever gambit, if we do say so ourselves. As for those who were fooled, take solace in the fact that you were not the only ones. She did such a marvelous job with this makeup, didn’t she?
