If you look up “Gigi Hadid” on Google, you are going to find her vodka pasta recipe, in all likelihood. It has become one of her trademarks, surprisingly enough. You would think that a model and a mother would struggle to find the time to cook, but Hadid is a modern-day superheroine of sorts. Before you make the vodka pasta for yourself, it’s important to note that it’s on the spicy side.

Hadid actually took home the top prize on the celebrity version of MasterChef 5 years ago. Lucky for us, she’s generous with her knowledge and shares yummy recipe ideas, including her vodka pasta recipe, online.

Hundreds of fans have already tried their best to recreate the recipe, which was shared while she was pregnant with her daughter Khai. This is one lucky child because we know that she is always going to be eating good! The creamy dish comes with plenty of tomatoes and is also topped with cheese. The first time we saw a picture of the finished product, we were drooling.

To get started, grab a large saucepan. From there, heat 60 ml of olive oil and add 1/4 shallot or red onion and a small, diced clove of garlic. Add 60 ml of tomato paste and cook the mixture until it becomes dark. If you’d like to add a tablespoon of vodka, you can do so now. Let it evaporate and then add one teaspoon of red pepper flakes (more if you like spicy food). Also throw in 125 ml of heavy cream.

Season with salt and pepper once the sauce has been stirred enough to be combined. Cook the pasta after removing the sauce from the heat. Before draining it, make sure to save 60 ml of the pasta water and a tablespoon of butter. Set the heat to medium and stir the butter into the water until it melts. Gigi recommends waiting until “the sauce is saucy”.

Add 45 grams of Parmesan cheese, stir it up and you are almost set. When you are ready to serve the pasta, top it with Parmesan cheese and chopped basil.
