More About the Class:
Let me start by saying all bread should be this easy! Stovetop flatbreads made in less than an hour! That’s right, Hot and fresh bread in less than an hour! We’re going to make these flatbreads in a day, but you don’t have to. In fact, the doughs will taste even better sitting in the fridge until the next day. Starting with the Mediterranean favorite, fresh pita! Our mission is to create a fluffy pita pocket. This takes time to master, but I promise all of these doughs will work regardless of how they’re “supposed” to turn out. Next up we turn to Asia for two famous flatbreads, one flaky and one tangy. Paratha is a flaky non-yeasted flatbread that get’s it’s layers by brushing ghee in between the dough and twisting it to create a ball. Roll it out, cook it up, and flake it off. One of my favorites has got to be garlic naan though. It’s a bit doughier than pita, but gives strong backbone to scooping up your favorite curries, dips, and roasted veggies. Made with yogurt this dough get’s rolled into an oblong shape and doused in homemade garlic butter. I can’t wait to see you master these amazing flatbreads!
