2020 brought us a lot of unexpected curveballs and 2021 seems to be no different. Not only are we living in unprecedented times, but companies are creating unprecedented products.
Take Duke’s Mayonnaise, for example. While you may have enjoyed it on a sandwich a time or two, you probably never thought you’d enjoy it in the form of beer, yet, here we are. Check out the Instagram post from Duke’s below:
According to a press release, the company has collaborated with Champion Brewing Company to release a mayonnaise-flavored beer that’s meant to pair perfectly with a BLT.
The BLT is a classic sandwich that we all know and love. If you are the type of person who has been craving the perfect beer to go with your BLT, this is the beer for you. The sandwich is best enjoyed with a healthy dollop of Duke’s mayo, as well….but you knew that already!
The beer is a Vienna-style lager at 5.1% ABV, so you know it’s going to be delicious. For those who are not budding brewmasters, these lagers are characterized by a malty flavor and aroma. Each beer is rich in Vienna malt, Magnum, and Saaz hops, making for the perfect companion for your BLT sandwich.
The new beer, called Family Recipe, can be found in Champion’s breweries, restaurants, and retailers across the states of Virginia and North Carolina. Hopefully they go nationwide soon!
