Proposal stories are always fun to us because we get the chance to see what matters to the average couple. Yes, it would be nice if every proposal was a Hollywood storybook, but in reality? Couples like to pay homage to the simple activities that they enjoy most. The couple that you are about to meet in these TikToks is definitely a prime example of that.
Ryan Satin was ready to ask his girlfriend Eric to marry him and, of course, he wanted it to be the most special occasion possible. Since the couple has been frequenting Dave and Buster’s on a regular basis for some time now, it was the obvious choice for a proposal venue. The sentimental value here is off the charts and it is easy to see why.
Satin still wanted to make sure that he was able to kick things up a notch, understandably so. The proposal that he came up with was shared on TikTok, much to our delight.
“We’ve been collecting tickets at Dave & Buster’s since we started dating. So to propose tonight, I cashed them all in for a wedding ring,” Satin explained to the audience. We had no idea this was a thing!
As it turns out, this is not something that you can actually do. Dave set it up with the staffers and the store had a display set up with the ring that the couple “won.” Once Erica saw the ring and realized what was going on, she lost it. Of course, she said yes to the proposal and she was beyond happy. Satin’s joy was contagious as well.
“I’m so happy,” he shared in his caption.
Erica readily accepted the proposal and it’s easy to see why. It’s clear these two are two peas in a pod!

There was another reason for Erica’s tears that we did not see in the initial clip, too. Ryan made sure that her mother, Robin, was able to see the moment for herself. This was a bittersweet moment for the couple, as she is currently suffering from dementia.
“I can’t get over how my fiance made sure my mom was there to watch him propose to me. Getting someone with dementia somewhere is never easy, especially to a loud arcade after her bedtime,” Erica shared in her own clip of the proposal. “But with help from my fiance’s mom and our friends, they got my mom dressed up and at Dave & Buster’s in time to see her daughter’s proposal,” she continued.
