We are not the type of people who like to hop right out of bed in the morning. It takes a lot to get us motivated. Croissants are definitely a powerful impetus, though. Once you have had a moment to think about their flaky, buttery goodness, it is much easier to get up and face the day. Now, we have the perfect lamp for all of the croissant lovers out there.
UncommonGoods is now offering croissant lamps. While these lamps are certainly awesome, you might be surprised to learn that they are made with real croissants! But don’t try to eat the lamp! They’re also offering larger baguette lamps made with real bread.
We paid the UncommonGoods website a visit and found out more about Yukiko Morita’s mission statement. As the maker of these lamps, she carves out the inside of the croissants and adds LED lighting. In case you are wondering, she also takes the proper steps to make sure that the lamps are able to maintain their lovely hue over the long haul.
In her own words, she “reassembles each pastry with an epoxy resin to maintain its oven-kissed golden hue and ensure that it will never go bad.” This is a brilliant idea and we can’t believe that no one ever thought of it before. You can also find these lamps and additional photos on Catbird.
There is a TikTok that sums up our feelings about these lamps in the perfect manner. In the words of jordanmyr1ck, “just shut up and take my money!” In the meantime, we hope that you are will share these lamps with all of the carb lovers in your life. There is no reason why we should be hoarding these all to ourselves. Any home would look better with a croissant and/or baguette lamp!

The croissant is a smaller lamp that can be had for $88, while the baguette lamp is a bit more costly ($260). Anyone who is looking to light up an entire room is probably better off with the larger option. Let’s just hope that we don’t wake up with the munchies and try to chow down on one of these lamps. Do we know they aren’t edible? Yes. Do we want to eat them anyway? Also yes.
