TikTok is full of viral trends. One of the trends that has been making the rounds for a while now is the cake trend.
Everyone seems to want to make cakes as realistic as possible and to be honest, this has been pretty fun to watch.
The artistry that many of these items take is just spectacular. We’ve seen cakes take on the shapes of flowers, stacks of books, toilet paper rolls, people, etc.
If you can name it there has probably been a realistic cake made to resemble it. If you’re sitting there reading this thinking, “I wonder if someone’s ever attempted to make a crockpot full of chili cake,” then you’d be pleasantly surprised to know that someone has in fact done just that.
The cake was made by Brandi Myers Dornon, and it is a very realistic-looking chili cake. But interestingly enough, the idea for the cake was spurred by a challenge.
As she shared on TikTok, Brandi’s husband didn’t think that she could come up with a chili cake that looked real enough. But, she definitely proved him wrong with this one.
In fact, she used a slow cooker in order to really sell the aesthetic that her cake was actually a bowl of chili. Were it not for the TikTok video which captures her process of making it, the cake would’ve totally fooled us.
