It’s always interesting when we go on TikTok and start scrolling through the videos. For some people, it may start out with looking for kitchen tips or perhaps just trying to pass the time. For others, something that may change their life in some way appears on TikTok and they can’t believe what they are seeing.
That is probably how most people felt when somebody claiming to be a Costco employee shared a video that revealed something unusual.
It has to do with the refund requests that sometimes come to Costco, and you might be surprised with what you can take back.
Since being posted, the video has been viewed close to 3 million times. The TikTok user named Hannah film herself asking questions that you might hear at the customer service desk.
The video has since been taken down but now the word is out and who knows what will be returned to Costco!
“I used these bed sheets for 5 years,” Hannah wrote on the video. “Can I return it?”
“Yes! [you] get a full refund.”
Somebody else asked if they could return a dead Christmas tree after Christmas. Again, the answer was yes, a full refund would be given.
Another question that surprised many people is if it was possible to return a pie after most of it was eaten. They got a full refund!
Costco’s return policy states that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. They also say that every product they sell offers a guarantee of satisfaction and they will refund the purchase price with a few exceptions. These include electronics, alcohol, cigarettes, and diamonds over one carat.
You also can’t return batteries or tires.
