If you are the type of person who drinks coffee in the morning to get you going and then a Diet Coke in the afternoon, then you’ve got a reason to be excited. Coca-Cola recently announced that is will be bringing its first-ever Coke-branded energy drink, Coca-Cola Energy, to the US in 2020.

The energy drink is already popular in 25 countries around the world but this will be the first time it brings it to the USA.

It tastes exactly like Coke but has 114 mg of caffeine per can, which is about as much as a cup of coffee.

The energy drink is available around the world in Coke and Coke Zero flavors, but will also be available in Cherry Coke and Cherry Coke Zero flavors in the USA because Cherry Coke is more popular in the states.

Coke is making a big move to bring more drink variety to shelves outside of soda and this falls right into their wheelhouse.

Some people say it tastes exactly like Coke, while others are saying it has a sort of ‘chemically-taste’.

You can expect to see Coca-Cola Energy hitting shelves near you in January 2020.
