Honeycomb Churro 2-min

My collection of cereal snack mix recipes has grown significantly this year, and I am nothing short of thrilled about that. They’re easy to whip up and perfect for satisfying those cravings for some crunch. I like a savory mix as much as the next person, but I’ve been loving the dessert versions this season. For instance, these Churro Snacks! It was love at first bite with this easy mix, and once you taste it I’m sure you’ll feel the same.

I’ve gone with Honeycomb cereal for this recipe. It has a subtly sweet flavor and plenty of surface area to coat in churro goodness. A simple sauce made with brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup comes together on the stovetop, then baking soda and vanilla are mixed in. At this step, the sauce will foam up and expand in size so be prepared!

The sauce is poured over the cereal and then sprinkled with a cinnamon and sugar mixture. Spread the cereal out on a baking sheet and pop it in the oven for about 8 minutes to get nice and crispy. Allow your snacks to cool then break into bite-sized clusters. Easy as that, it’s time to dig in!
