Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Turkey might be the star of the show when Thanksgiving dinner rolls around but what about the rest of the meal? We are huge fans of stuffing, mashed potatoes, and, of course, pie. But thanks to Baskin Robins, we can actually have turkey as the star of our main course and dessert!

The ice-cream company released a turkey ice cream cake for Thanksgiving and it’s nothing short of spectacular. As it turns out, it’s not a new item to their menu, either.

These cakes have been in existence since the 1970s, though they’ve gradually become shinier and more realistic-looking over the course of 50 years. Now, it may even be hard to tell that it’s a cake! That is, until you cut into it.

This year’s Thanksgiving is sure to be a bit different for most of us thanks to COVID-19, but there’s nothing wrong with digging into some turkey anyway. This is the perfect year to let your hair down a bit and have a nontraditional celebration.

The glaze is made of caramel praline and the legs are made of sugar cones. There are a number of different flavors for shoppers to choose from, too. Everything from Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough to Peanut Butter ‘n Chocolate to Old Fashioned Butter Pecan is on hand. With all of these choices, you are sure to find the one that is best for any Thanksgiving gathering that you have planned this year.

If you’re getting some for your family, be sure to make it a surprise. They are sure to be stunned when they see the inside of what you are cutting. Some of the skeptics out there may be wondering if these cakes are going to taste as good as they look, but we have yet to see a single negative review. In fact, we have already zeroed in on the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ice cream cake.

These cakes are beyond impressive and we cannot wait to see what our family members have to say this year! Will you be trying a turkey-themed cake this Thanksgiving?
