Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

This TikTok user had a terrifying experience when they recently stayed at an AirBnB and now they are looking to share their story with the rest of us.

The AirBnb that they crashed in had quite the unusual amenity in the basement. Can you believe that there was an abandoned mall hidden beneath this location? We are still beside ourselves and we have seen the video a few times now.

These types of odd discoveries are commonplace on TikTok these days but that does not mean that we are not stunned by this one in particular. Claire (who goes by @claire.scheulin on the app) is the one who is responsible for this clip. She referred to this AirBnB as “sketchy” and went on to show the audience why she was so freaked out by this location.

“POV: Your Airbnb has an abandoned mall in the basement,” she wrote in the video. Once the terms of engagement were established, Claire took her viewers on a brief tour.

The condo that she was staying at is positioned over a vacant mall. The viewers who got the chance to check out her arrangements were spellbound but probably not in the way that you would expect.

Instead, the comments are jam-packed with horror movie comparisons and we can see why. This is the sort of video that looks like the beginning of a scary movie. There is just something about an abandoned mall that gives us the creepiest vibes. Hopefully, no one was eaten by a monster during the making of this bizarre video.

From the looks of it, everything seems okay but we just had to double-check and make sure. “I’m getting a bad feeling from that place, y’all need to leave,” said one user. Meanwhile, another user named Josh chimed in and said that he had stayed in these condos in the past as well. He shares the same sentiments as this young lady, calling them “run down and sketchy”.

It is hard to argue with either of them on this one. You could not pay us to stay here, sorry to say. While no one seems to want to give a precise name for the location, it is said to be located somewhere in Hollywood, Florida.

In fact, it is entirely possible that they stayed over what was once known as the Oceanwalk Mall.

If we ever end up in the area, we’ll be avoiding this AirBnb just to be safe.
