This 73-year-old woman from Ventura, California has the most amazing story to tell and we are beyond happy to share it with you. Carol Mack is her name and she has worn a number of hats over the course of her career, working as a nurse, attorney, and educator.

When she shared a post about finding true love in the middle of the pandemic on Twitter, users began to swoon.

We are all very much in the mood for positive stories like this one at the moment. “Life is so strange. After nearly four decades of marriage, I never expected to be single again at 70. And I certainly didn’t expect to find true love at the age of 73 in the middle of a pandemic! And now this!” she wrote in the post.

Of course, no tweet of this nature is complete without including the rock on her finger. As it turns out, her fiance seems to have awesome taste. According to Mack, she tried out a wide range of dating apps but Match ended up being the one for her. We sure do love seeing all of the dating app success stories, don’t you?

That’s not all that Mack had to say about her newfound happiness, either. “I did put my profile up on Match and got many strange responses, but I found one good one, my age, a college professor like me, and with a similar faith tradition. It can happen, but I think it’s rare!” she continued. At least she is not giving anyone false hope!

All jokes aside, true love is hard to find and you have to treasure it whenever you find it. The post has since received over one million likes and lots of comments from people who want to find the same thing that she has. She is here to give all of us hope for the future. No one is ever “too old” to find true love, we do not care what the haters have to say about this matter.

We are glad that she shared this happy message during these trying times. In a world that feels like it is full of nothing but bad news, we treasure stories like these more than ever.
