Most people will take at least a little time to consider the date when they are getting married. A lot of couples are looking for a date that is convenient when family and friends can gather together but they also want to date that is easy to remember.

Every year or so, a special day comes around that people realize it is the perfect day to get married. They may even head off to a luxurious location to tie the knot and memorialize that special occasion that will always be celebrated on that day every year.

One special day recently was February 22, 2022. On a calendar, that date of 2/22/22 was just too tempting to ignore. Many people held their wedding on that day for the very reason that it was such a special day by the numbers. Two of those people were Sam Zimmerman and Shaun Tutor.

That couple decided to go to Las Vegas and celebrate the special day by saying I do at Flamingo Las Vegas. Nearby, another couple was tying the knot at Caesar’s Palace.

Of course, these are only a few of the many people who decided to make that day a special one. For these couples, however, it was more than just a special day, it was one that they had waited for.

For example, when speaking to Good Morning America, one of the people who got married on that day, Maeola Bowman, spoke about how special it was. She married 33-year-old Andrew Nassar at Caesar’s Palace.

She said: “The initial date was 10/10/2020, but then the pandemic and all that good stuff and then we were talking – his birthday is 8/8/88, so we tried to keep the really cool numbers going, like 10/10/2020, 8/8/88, so 2/2/22 – it rolled out perfectly.”

They had actually picked another day but had no idea how popular the date of 2/22/22 was going to be.

Of course, with Vegas being the wedding capital of the world, it’s not out of the ordinary for people to flock to that area in order to tie the knot. Many chapels throughout the city were saying about how busy they were that Tuesday.

Although it was a busy day, it was by no means the busiest. According to Good Morning America, the Clark County Clerk, Lynn Marie Goya, said that the most popular date of all time was 7/7/07 when 4500 weddings were performed. Coming in at a close second was 11/11/11 when 3500 weddings were held.
