Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you are anything like us, caffeine is already an integral part of your day-to-day. We cannot get by without it, no matter how hard we try.

For many of us, the day does not truly begin until we have had the chance to hit up Starbucks. The coffee chain is always here to help us out during these trying times and we are forever in their debt.

They have already given us so much and it seems selfish to ask for more but this is a giving company. If you would like to start getting your caffeine boosts in a different format each day, Starbucks is more than happy to start helping out. The canned beverages that they have to provide actually serve as their first dip into the world of energy drinks.

We are just surprised that it has taken this long. According to a press release, BAYA Energy, as this drink will be known, comes in a colorful can with a sleek appearance. It is also “crafted from caffeine naturally found in coffee fruit, as well as antioxidant vitamin C.” There are even three awesome flavors to choose from: Mango Guava, Raspberry Lime, and Pineapple Passionfruit.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Starbucks BAYA Energy to our customers, providing them with a refreshing, fruit-flavored boost of feel-good energy, in a way only Starbucks can deliver,” said Chanda Beppu, vice president of Channel Development Americas at Starbucks, in the press release. That’s not all that she had to say about these new energy drinks, either.

“Over the years, we’ve continued to identify new and exciting ways to expand our ready-to-drink portfolio and saw an opportunity to complement our existing coffee beverage lineup with Starbucks BAYA Energy, the brand’s first beverage to launch in the energy category,” she continued.

These 12-ounce cans come with 90 calories and 160 milligrams of caffeine and can be had for a mere $2.89. At the moment, those who are looking to take home these bad boys can head to their local grocery stores, national retailers, convenience stores, and gas stations.

As for those who are looking to get their hands on these energy drinks at their local Starbucks, you will have to wait until March.
