If you are going to be shopping at Jersey City’s Newport Centre Mall in the not-so-distant future, we have a challenge for you. You need to visit this vending machine and let us know about these burgers.
They have just installed the RoboBurger, which is the first vending machine for burgers in the entire world. This is quite the invention, isn’t it?
In fact, the start-up that is responsible for this vending machine is saying that it is the “biggest innovation in hot food vending since the invention of the microwave.”
The automated machine, which will occupy around 12 square feet of space, is able to whip up a burger from scratch in about six minutes. This five-step process was designed to emulate the process that takes place when we are at a fast-food chain. Once you order a burger, the automated griddle springs directly into action to cook a grass-fed Angus beef patty.
The machine also toasts a locally made potato bun to go with the burger. Mustard, ketchup, and cheese can be added at the customer’s discretion. There is even a built-in cleaning system outfitted in each one and it has been rated to National Sanitary Foundation specifications. These machines even accept Apple Pay and Google Pay, which is a major relief for the cashless crowd.
This is not expected to be the only machine of its kind, either. RoboBurger plans on creating a series of machines that will be utilized at airports, colleges, and malls all over the country.
It’ll be interesting to see what the future of food holds!
