It doesn’t take long for news to spread these days, especially when it is newsworthy. Social media has a way of passing things around, and if something hits TikTok, it’s not out of the ordinary for millions of people to see it quickly.
It happened recently when 8 million people saw TikTok videos about something that was taking place at McDonald’s. It seems as if some locations are offering an unusual item on the menu, and people are thrilled. The new item is a chocolate sheet cake.
Although a number of TikTok users were responsible for bringing this new cake menu item to light, it was Kayleigh Weeks who blew the whistle first. It seems as if the Omaha, Nebraska resident had purchased a cake decorated with Ronald McDonald and she couldn’t wait to share it with TikTok.
According to her video, the cake sells for nine dollars and it shows her cutting into the cake. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one of these!

Judging by the comments, it seems as if people were more than willing to give it a try as well. There were also some employees who said that McDonald’s doesn’t carry the cake but others say they are available for employee birthdays.
Since so many people were doubting whether the cake actually existed at McDonald’s or not, a follow-up video was posted to show that it wasn’t a prank.
Her response was slow in coming from McDonald’s US but Fox News got involved. They talked to the McDonald’s where she claims that the cakes were purchased, and an employee confirmed that there weren’t any in stock but they were being sold.
@kayrock93 Here ya go guys! Bought another one 🎂#cake #mcdonalds #fyp #foryourpage #viral
The employee went on to say that all McDonald’s sell cakes, but I’ve never seen them before.
I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes open for this one!
