We sometimes go to TikTok to learn interesting ways to save money. It’s a social media platform where people are constantly sharing information that was meant to be helpful, but not all of it hits the mark.

One influencer who does this regularly is Millie Rose Bannister. She posted a video to help her followers save money but not everybody was happy with the suggestion.

As it turns out, she said that when you eat out at a restaurant, you should bring your own avocado. She was so happy with her suggestion that she even said that you would “thank her later.”

She even shows herself doing this at a restaurant, pulling an avocado out of a bag and cutting it up before spreading it over some scrambled egg and toast.

She bought everything else at the café, but she didn’t want to add that extra six dollars to the order so she didn’t order an avocado.

That is when some who worked in the industry came on to say that she should be ashamed of herself. In the comments of her video, they said that times are tough, so we should be supporting the business rather than trying to save a few dollars and cheap out.

Bannister came back on to say that she was still supporting the business by buying other items, she just didn’t want to spend the extra money on an avocado. After all, you can buy one for around one dollar at a store but you spend a lot more at the café.

“Isn’t it better for me to spend $14 there than $0???” she said in the comments.
