Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Forgive us for being huge nerds but we love to pay close attention to our home appliances. Ever since our husband brought us home a KitchenAid stand mixer, we have always taken a closer look at the latest news and innovations.

While the stand mixer that we own is stainless steel and goes great with our kitchen, we find ourselves wondering about all of the other awesome color schemes.

KitchenAid has a number of kitchen stand mixers that come in a wide array of hues and now, it is time to explore them a bit further. For example, there are probably a number of readers who are totally unaware of the fact that this company chooses a color of the year. When you get the chance to see what they came up with for 2022, you will be spellbound.

The official color for this year is actually known as beetroot. Yes, this is a real color and yes, they are talking about actual beets as well. We are already wishing that we had one of these bad boys in our own kitchen. That’s not all that KitchenAid had to say, either.

The color was chosen because the company wanted to “remind us to break out of our routines and see the familiar with a new lens.” KitchenAid also wanted to choose a color that “represents the richness found in our daily lives and reflects the vibrancy of everyday moments.” All of that sounds pretty awesome from where we are sitting.

Readers are certainly going to want to know how they can add the necessary vibrancy to their kitchens and KitchenAid has got us covered.

You can take home the Artisan Series 5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer and the K400 Blender as soon as possible. Yes, each of them are available in the gorgeous beetroot color scheme, so nothing to worry about there.

Even if you are like us and already have your own stainless steel stand mixer on hand, you are still going to want to check these out. We cannot wait to see what the color of the year is next year but in the meantime? Beetroot happens to suit us just fine.
