TikTok user Yaa Animwaah Khay is here to change the lives of everyone who has gap teeth. It’s a dental work hack that you will have to see in order to believe.
The manner in which she covers the gap is genius and we cannot believe that we did not think of it ourselves. Khay explains the process to the viewers in a video and we understand exactly where she is coming from.
”So first, I’d buy gum,” she shares with the audience. She is also quick to stress to the audience that the gum has to be close to the same shade as the person’s natural teeth in order for it to work. “Then chew for like 5 seconds and use my tongue to stick it behind my teeth.” This would allow her to hide the gap.
No one was the wiser. The clip has been viewed over two million times, as all of the gap-toothed viewers were spellbound. It’s the sort of thing that the average person would not think of but that’s why Yaa is here to help. Of course, she had to admit that this is a plan that will only work for a shorter period of time.
In fact, she even shared a clip of the gum falling out of her mouth while she is dancing with her friends. “It did me dirty,” she says, as she referenced the gum tumbling out of her mouth. She was quick to add that it ”literally ruined my mood” in that moment. Now, she’s got aligners and she no longer needs to use this hack.
“[They were] more affordable and quicker than braces,” she shares. She’s been wearing the aligners for two years now. Many viewers commented and let her know that she is beautiful, with or without the gap. We must concur. It is nice to see that she has gotten past this stage in her life and now, she is way more confident than she was before.
”Fam the way it embarrassed me,” she says of the gap. We are glad to see that she got the adjustment. If nothing else, she is probably saving a few bucks since she no longer has to buy gum on such a constant basis.
