Heinz is doing its best to look out for those who are getting tatted up, and as it turns out, this isn’t the company’s first foray into the world of tattoos. They recently partnered with Ed Sheeran, who has one of their bottles tattooed on his arm.

Twitter user Themperor Kennedy shared photos of Ed’s tattoos, so you can see his ketchup-themed tattoo for yourself:

To collaborate with the Heinz-loving Sheeran, the company modeled ketchup bottles after his tattoos and the proceeds were donated to charity.

According to It’s Nice That, Heinz is now following up on this by taking the time to launch its own red tattoo ink pigment. They have carefully selected the necessary ingredients so that people are able to get tattoos safely.

The pigment was developed in conjunction with Brazilian creative agency SOKO and tattoo ink manufacturer Electric Ink. Now that there are more restrictions and bans that are being placed on tattoo-related ingredients, Heinz is looking to help out. This is especially helpful because red is considered to be one of the most problematic colors to use of all.

The pigment is even based on the company’s Pantone color. “A quick search of photos and hashtags on social media makes it obvious that Heinz fans love getting tattoos with our brand and products,” Heinz Brazil brand leader Thiago Stelle said, according to Paper Magazine.

He went on to say, “Clearly, we had to do something extraordinary for them and, as a result, bring a new alternative to address the issue of harmful pigment ingredients. We see this as a double opportunity because with this new feature, we not only bring new ways to get a Heinz tattoo through an incredible curation of artists, but we also offer ink that is being developed with the same care in which we choose our ingredients and make our ketchup.”

The company has even tapped five notable Brazilian tattoo artists to help them with the launch. It is an awesome idea and we are glad to see them taking it so seriously. The Heinz tattoo ink is slated to be “available soon in the best parlors.”
