Eucalyptus is one of the most helpful plants that you are ever going to come across. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities, it comes in useful when treating skin problems, mild wounds, congestion, coughs, and colds, among other things.

For such a small plant, it sure has a lot of possible benefits, especially during cold and flu season. Some people have started hanging eucalyptus leaves in their showers to help ease congestion, coughs, and colds while they shower.

You see, when you are in the shower, the water heats up and generates steam. The steam will activate the eucalyptus leaves and provide you with the oils that are proven to help out with headaches, joint inflammation, sore muscles, stress, congestion, and more.

Beyond that, just having that fresh eucalyptus smell in the shower is reason enough to give it a try. Those who have been to steam rooms and spas before will probably recognize the scent, too. The scent is fresh and calming, bolstering your level of relaxation. If this method works for spas and steam rooms, just think of what it can do for your daily showers.
