Farmer Bottles Milk Instead Of Dumping It And He Sells Out In Hours

The ongoing global pandemic has brought any number of businesses to their knees and this is no secret to any of our readers. While many of us have noticed all of the restaurants that have been forced to close, these closings have hit other industries very hard.

The farmers of the world have been struggling mightily as well since the restaurant closings reduce the demand for their products.

Processing companies let the farmers know that they would need to dump out all of their milk because there was nothing else that could be done with it. Many farmers could not come up with a better idea, forcing them to dispose of resources that could have been used elsewhere. But one farmer decided to try something else.

“I hate waste, and I don’t want to dump milk. People can use it, and I still have to pay my bills,” Ben Brown said in an interview. As a ninth-generation farmer, he knew that he could not dump out hundreds of gallons of milk. It just didn’t sit right with him and we cannot blame him. Wait until you see what he managed to come up with!

The whole community could not wait to spend their hard-earned money with this farming family. Instead of dumping the milk out, Brown decided that he would start selling it. On the first day, all of the milk managed to sell out within a few hours. The milk has continued to sell out every single day since Brown began to provide it to the community.

Any milk that does not sell by the end of the day goes to charity, so this is a wonderful pursuit, regardless of how you slice it.

It is great to see that the farming community is able to bounce back from this unprecedented tragedy. Whoa Nellie Dairy survived the roughest stretch of the pandemic and they are still here, telling their story.

This community was happy to rally around the family when they needed them most. Thanks to the support that they have received, they have been able to expand their product selection even further!
