Tornadoes are among the scariest of natural disasters to us. How anyone can watch them take place is beyond us.

Even when we see the footage after the fact, we are still terrified. We end up watching it through our fingers for the most part. If you are anything like us, it was definitely hard to watch the footage of the tornado in Kansas.

This clip is no exception but we can certainly appreciate all of the hard work that was put in here. Extreme meteorologist Reed Timmer is the one who is responsible for the footage that you are about to see. Can you believe that he captured all of this with a high-resolution drone? It is hard for us to wrap our minds around, but the footage still looks really cool, nonetheless.

He managed to capture the exact moment that the tornado hit the ground in this Kansas town. We cannot begin to imagine the level of terror that was experienced by the residents of Andover.

Of course, there are those who will remind us that residents of this region are probably more than used to tornadoes by now. It’s the same thing that happens when snowstorms take place on the east coast. They look terrifying to those who do not live in these places, but they’re not a big deal to the people who live in those places.

This storm caused a sizable amount of property damage in the city but we are more than happy to report that no lives were actually lost.

“SANE tornado vortex evolution captured by Dominator Drone from Andover, KS last night. Sadly, this tornado caused immense damage along a narrow path through the east side of Andover,” the video’s description reads. We are just glad to hear that everyone is okay!

Check out the footage below:

“Highest-res drone footage of the Andover, KS #tornado which has received a preliminary rating of EF3. Note how the tornado propagates via vortex dynamics and likely terrain. Incredibly, no lives were lost by this tornado,” Timmer shared on Twitter.

Our hearts go out to anyone who has been affected by any of the property damage that has taken place in Andover. We hope and pray that everyone is able to move on with their lives as quickly as possible.
