Meet London’s largest dog, Diego the Great Dane!
Weighing in at 95kgs (209lbs) and standing over 6-feet high on hind legs, the 6-year-old pup draws quite a crowd when taking outings with his owner, Carlos Da Silva:

According to MyLondon, Carlos wanted a dog for quite some time and finally confined his wife, Ellie, to let him get one in 2015. That’s when he purchased Diego as a puppy, something that would change both of their lives forever.
Diego quickly became Carlos’s BFF and accompanied him to work every day, even riding in the sidecar of Carlos’ K-750 motorbike!

In an interview with MyLondon, Carlos explained, “If I touch the sidecar, he knows we’re going out. If I put on my jacket or grab the helmet, he knows – it’s crazy. Great Danes are lazy – they’re lap dogs. Everywhere they go, they sit…I put him on the sidecar and he sat down, and that’s it.”

Carlos doesn’t just take Diego with him on his motorbike either but allows the dog to accompany him on the Tube and other forms of dog-friendly transportation!
Diego accompanies Carlos to work, cafes, parks, and just about everywhere else.

While Diego might be large, so large he’s often mistaken by children for being a cow, he’s a gentle giant. He loves to cuddle and nap and lay low.
He does get a bit crazy for food, Carlos explained to MyLondon, but he’s generally a child dog who goes with the flow.
