You wouldn’t expect a teacher to have a secret hideout in their classroom but this educator is here to shatter all of these preconceived notions.
She has her very own secret hiding place inside of the classroom and it is pure genius. We can definitely relate to this one because we also have moments where we wish we could slip away at the workplace.
Who wouldn’t want a moment to gather themselves when they are in the midst of all that emotional labor? Emma is this teacher’s name and hideouts are her game. She keeps this nook for when she feels like hiding from people and we fully understand where she is coming from here. Of course, there is one minor concern that we have to take a moment to address. The secret hiding spot is almost certainly not up to building code specifications but we guess that is why it is being kept a secret at the moment.
“When you have a secret hideout in your classroom,” her caption reads. This classroom is not exactly the most classic form of architecture but Emma found her way. The large A-line building has gaps in the walls and ceilings.
Emma discovered the secret hideaway by climbing up a counter onto a row of overhead cabinets. An elevated area was noticeable above the door, a crawl space that has supplies and beanbag chairs. Now, Emma has the perfect little nook and she still has an open view of the classroom. “Sometimes, you just need to hide from people,” she continued.
This is one of the coolest hideouts that we have seen and we are wondering if she takes naps in there. It reminds us of the classic Seinfeld episode where George Costanza ends up having a carpenter craft him a napping nook underneath his work desk. One of the commentators zeroed in on this fact almost immediately, talking about how this would be their go-to spot for a nap.
We also love the idea of having a substitute teacher come in, while she sits in her hiding spot and sees how the class responds to them. In the meantime, we hope that her superiors are okay with this because we are sure that they have definitely seen this video now.
If anything, they are probably jealous of the idea that she has come up with. What teacher wouldn’t be?!
