Puppy Stolen For Suspected Dog Fighting Was Reunited With Owner

Back on December 12, 2021, one dog owner’s world was shattered when their five-month-old American Bully, Sniper, was stolen from their back garden in South Yorkshire.

The theft sparked a widespread search for the dog, and it seems that the search has finally come to an end!

According to EXPRESS, Sniper’s owner, 21-year-old Foyzul Miah, shared in a Facebook post that his sweet pup had been returned, though it seemed the dog had suffered a lot of trauma in his time away.

In the post, Miah allegedly wrote that Sniper was returned a “traumatized and underweight dog.” He added, “He has many scars over his body which leads us to believe he was sadly being taught to fight.”

Thankfully, Sniper can heal from his physical and emotional trauma in peace. It’s unclear how the dog was located or confiscated from the thief, as Miah couldn’t reveal additional details due to it being an ongoing investigation.

According to EXPRESS, though, they did say that they are working to press charges against the person who stole Sniper and are hoping to gather enough evidence to warrant an arrest.

Dogfighting has been illegal for nearly a century in the UK, according to the RSPCA. Sadly, it’s still a far-too-common activity that people force animals into.

We’re just glad that Sniper was found and can live his life with a family that loves him!
