If you have a picky eater, then you’re likely no stranger to the struggle of food waste. Hard as I try, the battle of cutting the crusts off the sandwich is not one I always win. Luckily, I’ve found some delicious uses for those discard crusts which have been an absolute game changer. First, I tried these easy garlic rolls (that turned out so tasty!), and that got me thinking that a sweet Bread Crust Cinnamon Rolls take would also be delish. And let me tell you, I was right! Baked to golden perfection in a buttery cinnamon mixture, these rolls transform those crusts into a treat your crew is going to be begging you to make!

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F and giving your muffin tin a good coating of butter to ensure easy removable. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until it’s nice and smooth. Roll up the bread crusts into spiral shapes and fit them snugly into the bottom of each muffin cup. Use the bottom of a cup or the back of a spoon to press the bread down firmly, so they hold together!

Next, spoon or pour the buttery cinnamon mixture over each roll, making sure they’re well-coated. Sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar over the rolls and pop the muffin tin into the oven and bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

While the rolls are baking, prepare the simple icing by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Once the rolls are out of the oven and slightly cooled, drizzle the icing generously over them. The rolls are crispy on the edges and soft in the center, perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or as a sweet pick-me-up. Trust us, these rolls will make you rethink tossing those bread crusts ever again!
