We have seen some serious red flags in our time but this one definitely takes the cake. Maddy (@maddyblythe on TikTok) is sharing a recent conversation with her ex-boyfriend and we are already offended on her behalf.

Can you believe that this man would send her an Excel spreadsheet each month that was filled with all of their shared expenses? We have heard of men being cheap before, but this takes things to a new level.

This is going above and beyond. We try to avoid making these types of blanket statements but if this is how you feel? You simply do not need to be dating.

How meticulous do you need to be when you are truly in love with a person? No one is saying that you have to let your partner spend all of your money willy nilly but this is taking it too far.

These spreadsheets were not made in jest, either. Before someone even tries to defend this cheapskate behavior, Maddy was expected to pay back the money, down to the penny.

She put up with this for far too long, if you ask us. “I just want to clarify that I would not stand for this anymore,” she explains in a video. “But I definitely did for three years.”

She found the spreadsheets when she was going back through her e-mail and was more than happy to share them with TikTok. There are lots of rows and columns, too. The level of attention to detail is out of sight. We wonder if he put that level of effort into the actual relationship when they were together but we digress.

“Yeah, so he would send me about one of these a month,” Maddy shared. “As you can see, he was nice enough to color code it.” Uber rides, alcoholic beverages, pastries, he truly counted it all up. “Then at the bottom of this, I think it got cut out, would be the totals of everything I owed,” she continued.

The two would even have exchanges that were based around the expenses. Oh, the passion, oh, the romance!

“We had some very corporate-sounding emails back and forth,” she recalled. “So yeah, that was what that was like.”

Replying to @k here’s what the excel spreadsheets looked like. I am in awe that I was okay with this honestly 😅 #greenscreen

“This is a huge red flag,” someone commented and we’re inclined to agree.

We are not sure how she put up with this for three years but at least she is a free woman now. This is the least romantic thing that we have ever heard of and we hope that this man lightens up a bit in the future (for his own sake).
