There’s really nothing better than a cold drink on a hot and humid day. We gravitate toward the fruity drinks and this Backporch Punch is one of our go-to refreshments. It’s made with fresh watermelon for ultimate hydration with the perfect touch of creamy sweetness. Making it is as easy as chopping up a melon and letting the blender do the work. Whether you’re looking for a drink for a pool party, girls night, or just a day in the sun, this drink is just the thing!

The base of the drink starts with a seedless mini watermelon. Cut off the rind and chop it into large cubes so it will fit in the blender. Add in a bottle of coconut water and a squeeze of fresh lime juice for a little acidity that brings out that sweet melon flavor. Blend this mixture on high speed for a couple minutes to break down the watermelon as much as possible. Too short a blend time will leave you with a very thick drink so don’t cut corners here.

The final step is where the creamy flavor comes from! Add in a full can of sweetened condensed milk and give the drink another whirl in the blender. It turns the punch from a simple fruit drink into something rich and creamy, with just the right amount of indulgence. Serve it over ice or pop it in the fridge until it’s nice and cold. Either way, it’s a crowd-pleaser!
