We all go through a series of firsts throughout our life: first steps, first loves, first jobs, first time seeing the ocean, etc.
They’re moments that we don’t think we’ll ever get to experience again. But when you have kids, you get to experience firsts all over again, but through their eyes.
According to FOX 13 Tampa Bay, one California mom of two girls, Brittani Jernigan, has spent the first year documenting all her daughters’ firsts on her social media.
One of the videos that went viral with the whole of the internet being able to relate, was when she shared her daughter Blakely’s first trip to a Baskin-Robbins.
This was subsequently also her first time trying ice cream, and the little girl’s reaction was one that was both adorable and amusing.
The 9-month-old was accompanying Brittani and her husband, Derek Jernigan, on a trip to the ice cream chain, and while most babies don’t really have sweet treats until their first birthday, Brittani figured why not give Blakely a little taste – and the result was hilarious!
There was no underestimating how much the baby enjoyed her first taste of ice cream.
In the video, Derek is holding Blakely on the top of a table while Brittani records the moment. Blakely gets to sample a little of an ice cream cone, and at first, she looks confused by what she’s tasting, but that quickly turns around into an expression of pure bliss – and she can’t get enough!
