Once you taste it you’ll understand why– it’s filling, it’s healthy, and it tastes like cheesecake. What more could you ask for in a breakfast treat? Let’s get into how it’s made!
Start out by whisking together 3 eggs, a heaping cup of plain greek yogurt, some vanilla extract, and a splash of lemon juice. Once the mixture is nice and smooth it’s time to prep the toast. Slice the edges of your bread into narrow points and tuck the tip into the corner of the next cut. Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet and add a generous scoop of the custard filling to each one. Sprinkle on a handful of berries for a burst of sweetness and pop your toast in the oven for about 13 minutes.
Allow the toast to cool for a few minutes before serving, then sit back and enjoy every delectable bite of this breakfast treat. Whether it’s a fun weekend breakfast project or midday pick-me-up, this Twisted Custard Toast is guaranteed to impress. Give the easy recipe a try and I know it will be a new fav. Happy baking!
