We never thought that we would see the day when a stand-up water slide became a feasible part of our lives. We also never thought that we would see the day when people lined up to make fun of said slide.
However, the world’s first stand-up water slide is getting absolutely destroyed in the world of TikTok and it is time that you found out more.

Trust us on this one! If we had to guess, we are willing to bet that the people who love water slides were not exactly pining for one that would allow them to stand up for the entire time. The folks who are responsible for this insane idea have placed it at AquaMagis in Plettenberg, Germany, where people are learning firsthand how ridiculous this plan was.
The Sauerland Surfer slide is here, whether you asked for it or not.

Naturally, people have been sharing about the slide online and it’s got mixed reviews, to put it nicely.
@tuberides.official decided to take a ride on the slide and their findings are hilarious. If you are anything like us, you will not be able to stop laughing at this video. It should go without saying that no one on TikTok seems all that impressed.

There is a narrow track that surrounds the perimeter of the pool. This is where the riders have to stand. Water is used to propel them forward, as they are given the chance to glide through the slide before landing in a shallow pool of water. If this does not sound all that fun to you, do not worry. You are not in the minority here.
There is no big splash to enjoy, no fun twists and turns either. It is about as dull as a water slide can be, which is a major shame.

Water slides should be awesome and full of twists and turns. Sorry! We cannot apologize for how we feel about this one.
The idea is a fun one, but it simply wasn’t executed well. Even from different angles, it looks anti-climatic at best:
How do you feel about this water slide? Let us know!
