Many of us look back on things from our childhood with a bit of nostalgia. This is especially true when it comes to music and some of the TV shows that we watched in our youth. For those who grew up in the decade between 1973 and 1984, part of that nostalgia is likely to come from Schoolhouse Rock.
Of course, you didn’t have to be a youngster in that decade in order to appreciate what those short videos that filled our TV screens brought to the table. They continued to be popular for many years and if there is one thing that we know about those little shows, it’s the fact that they get stuck in your head. It’s a good thing because they are quite educational.

That is why we are so excited that the streaming service Disney+ is going to be releasing the first season of Schoolhouse Rock! on June 19. Each of the episodes is only a few minutes long, so it’s perfect for our short attention spans these days. It doesn’t matter how old we are, we can still learn something from these videos, which include how to construct a sentence properly and even learning the preamble of the Constitution.
At first, the show was designed to only fill in the gaps between children shows, but it eventually became closer to short films. They were shown on Saturday mornings children programming on ABC from 1973 till 1984.

Six seasons of Schoolhouse Rock! exist, but there isn’t any word yet on any other than the first season streaming on Disney+. Even if it is only season one, a new generation is going to be introduced to some of the songs that give us that nostalgic feeling.
There are also other shows that will be added to Disney+ next month, including, Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Tarzan, Tarzan II, Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy, Walt & El Grupo and a brand new show called Into the Unknown: The Making of Frozen 2.
